Happy September and October! Get ready for another vibrant fall season filled with arts, culture, and community in the Lakeway Arts District! September kicks off with a delightful Lakeway Garden Club Autumn Member Mixer on the 5th with a focus on planting fall vegetables and upcoming field trips. Enjoy an afternoon of enchanting chamber music on the 15th with Masterpiece Concert No. 7, followed by an inspiring art opening at the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery on the 16th. Admire the winning photographs and celebrate the talent of local photographers at the 2024 Lakeway Photo Festival Awards Reception on Sunday September 22nd. As October arrives, immerse yourself in the feuding fun of two rivaling cooks at the Lakeway Players’ The Kitchen Witches performance on the weekend of October 3rd-5th. Then, experience the energy and incredible musical talents of young musicians from across the area as they compete at the Texas Youth Music Festival on October 11th-13th. Finally, dress up in your favorite witch costume and join a fun Halloween parade through Lakeway at the Witches Ride, Roll & Stroll on October 19th. Enjoy a carnival of spooky fun including live music, food trucks, and other family-friendly activities. Spotlight: Masterpiece Concert No. 7
Join us for the kickoff of Season Three of the Masterpiece Concert Series this fall. Masterpiece Concert No. 7 takes place on Sunday, September 15th from 4pm to 5:30pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. Enjoy the exquisite melodies of renowned musicians Andrew Pearce (cello) and Sari Pearce (violin), accompanied by their esteemed guests including Dallas Symphony musicians Eunice Keem (violin), Matt Sinno (viola), and Minji Kim (cello). Repertoire will include Claude Debussy's String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10 and Franz Schubert's String Quintet in C major (also known as the "Cello Quintet"). The Masterpiece Concert Series is presented by the Pearce Family Foundation for the Arts and Social Progress and the City of Lakeway Arts Committee. This series of free chamber music concerts, featuring well-known classical composers of cello and violin music, is a free, family-friendly event and continues the popular Lakeway Arts in the Afternoon tradition.

If you are an artist working or living in the Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood, Lake Travis or western Travis County areas, we invite you to add your creative talents to the Lakeway Artist Directory. There is no cost to join the dozens of local artists already included in the directory. It only takes a few minutes to submit your directory info online. Local Lakeway artists are also encouraged to apply to exhibit their art at Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery and other upcoming art exhibits.
